Frank Tracey, carter, 117 Prospect Road, Redditch, was summoned for allowing a horse and cart to remain unattended in the Evesham Road, Headless Cross, on July 29.

Pc Lyes gave evidence of seeing the horse and cart standing unattended for 28 minutes and defendant was fined 2s 6d and 4s costs.

On Tuesday, the members of St Stephen's Young Men's Guild had their annual outing to Malvern.

The journey was made by train and a good number of members went.

The weather was favourable and a pleasant time was spent visiting the various places of interest including the hills and Priory Church, the college etc.

The party were well catered for both at dinner and tea by Messrs Lewis and Son and all together the day was a very enjoyable one.
