RESILIENT Cookley finally managed to get back to winning ways in Worcestershire League Division Two on Saturday.
A dismal run had seen the club stage a disappointing drop from second to sixth in the table.
But the villagers are now fourth after comfortably beating Malvern-based Barnards Green by seven wickets.
A devastating spell from Adam Sellick (5-45) and excellent bowling by Ian Goodman (4-66) did the damage as Green could only score 146.
Cookley romped to 147-3 as Rob Perkins (52 not out) was ably supported by the prolific Jim Blakeley (38) and Lou Sherry (32 not out).
Barnards Green 146, Cookley 147-3.
The seconds game against Barnards Green was cancelled due to the wet weather.
