and development company is celebrating after racking up its 500th successful NVQ award.
Howarth Hancorn Limited, of King Street, Hereford, will celebrate the one-year anniversary of its move from its former premises in Bridge Street, with the award of 10 NVQ certificates to young people from the Hereford area.
"These days we operate nationally, with clients like the BBC and Warners Leisure," said marketing and development director, Jane Howes.
"But we're a local company, established and run by local people, and it's a real pleasure to report that we will be staying here for some time."
The certificates are due to be presented on Thursday by the executive director of the Hereford and Worcester Learning Skills Council, Alan Curless OBE.
Candidates include employees of the Hereford Leisure Centre, Hereford Leisure Pool and Holme Lacey House Hotel, among others, who have qualified in coaching, administration and management.
"This brings our total to more than 500 successful NVQ awards," said operations director Julie Howarth.
"NVQs are nationally recognised vocational qualifications, and candidates work for them while they are in full paid employment."
