RICKY Pellow has been handed a dramatic recall to the Worcester Rugby Club side for the battle with Waterloo on Sunday (3pm).

The scrum-half replaces Chris Simpson-Daniel for the National One clash at Sixways -- his first start for four monthd after being dropped from the side in September.

The 22-year-old began the season in fine style, playing his part in Worcester's 40-13 victory over Leeds Tykes in September but lost his place to Simpson-Daniel and then Richard Jarman after the Kiwi's October move to Sixways.

However, with Simpson-Daniel struggling with a knee ligament injury this week, Pellow has been given the chance to leap-frog Jarman in the race for the number nine shirt.

The only other change to the side which beat Exeter 29-22 at the County Ground last Saturday, sees prop Neil Lyman return at the expense of Andy Collins who drops to the bench.

However, it is Pellow's return to the big time which has created the most interest with Jarman previously ahead in the scrum-half queue if Simpson-Daniel went down injured.

Coach Adrian Skeggs, though, doesn't see it as black and white.

He said: "We have a big squad and Ricky has been very patient and deserves his chance. His attitude has been first class and he gets his chance on the back of an impressive display for the Warriors at Northampton.

"I just think his pace will give us something on Sunday against Waterloo and his passing has also been excellent in the Warriors matches."

Skeggs added: "Jarman knows his passing has not been it's best lately but the good thing is, he is prepared to work very hard at his game. That's what I like about him.

"I just thought that Ricky had a great game at Northampton and deserves his chance. It depends on what type of game we want to play on the day to who we pick."

Team: Calder; Tuipulotu, Barrow, Keil, Murdoch; Va'a, Pellow; Windo, Lamerton, Lyman, Sims, Zaltzman, Evans, Mather, Fryday. Reps: Collins, Hall, Webster, Carter, Bromley, Yapp, Jarman.

n Les Cusworth has been asked to act as coaching advisor to the Argentinian national side.

An approach was made by Emilio Perassom, president of Argentina's national teams committee, during the World Cup Sevens where the former Sixways coach was working as a television commentator. Cusworth has run coaching sessions in both Argentina and Chile since he left Worcester last year.
