ALI McLaughlin has gone on loan to Stourbridge from Worcester Rugby Club.
The arrangement means centre McLaughlin will get competitive first team action but Worcester can recall him in 48 hours notice.
McLaughlin has been involved in the first team for six seasons, but has not played since coming on as a replacement at West Hartlepool in October.
"Ali has been a marvellous for the club and is a good player but he needs competitive matches," said Worcester's Director of Rugby Les Cusworth.
"We've talked about it at length with Ali and he made the decision but we can pull him back in 48 hours."
The deal is in response to Worcester's continuing problem of finding meaningful second team fixtures for fringe players and those battling back to match fitness.
Flanker Ed Orgee and centre Rich Tomlinson turned down similar deals earlier this season, but Cusworth has not ruled out others being loaned out.
Stourbridge are currently third in Jewson Two North and their squad includes former Worcester players Nick Tisdale and Spencer Bradley.
