NICK Baxter could make a dramatic return from injury at Wakefield on Saturday after being given the green light to play.

Worcester Rugby Club's golden boy has made a quicker than expected recovery from the eye socket injury he suffered last month against Henley Hawks and was pencilled in for tonight's Warriors clash at Coventry before the game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

It is a massive boost for the popular winger who has endured a frustrating season so far. After only making a handful of starts this season, he burst back to form at Otley two weeks ago with two tries and looked set for a extended run in the side before his injury.

He was expected to be out for some weeks with the injury and coach Adrian Skeggs initially feared surgery would be required to fix the problem. However, Baxter could now make a Yorkshire return after Worcester's disappointing display in yesterday's 30-18 win over Waterloo.

Worcester scrum-half Jo-anne Yapp and Nicky Crawford both played their part in England's 18-0 win over Wales in their opening Six Nations clash on Saturday.
