WORCESTER Rugby Club's Nick Broughton is to join the London Broncos for a week in a bid to tighten up his game.

The former Bedford flanker has been sent to former Brisbane Broncos man Kelvin Giles in the hope that he can improve the defensive side of his game.

Sixways coach Adrian Skeggs knows Giles from his days in Australia and believes he can begin to get the best out of the 27-year-old who he regards as his best attacking forward.

Broughton suffered a broken shoulder earlier in his career and there are still doubts over his tackling ability.

Skeggs said: "He's going there to develop the defensive side of his game and use a fitness programme that will overload on his shoulders. He will also do a lot of technical work with regards to develop the defence.

"He's the best ball-playing forward we have got, he's a very good team man but for me, we've got to make sure he can produce the defensive side of his game.

"Kelvin will be very good for him and Nick will come back to us a better player."
