FLANKER Ed Orgee could be joining the mass exodus from Sixways after opening contract talks with Moseley.

Worcester's chief executive Geoff Cooke and Moseley's director of rugby John White hope to conclude a loan deal at the beginning of next week.

If 23-year-old Orgee completes the deal he will be the eighth Worcester player to leave in the past three weeks and the fifth to move to the Reddings this season.

"I'm talking to Worcester and Geoff Cooke about the possibility of Ed Orgee joining us and the matter will be dealt with over the next few days," said White.

"It will probably take the form of a loan agreement and Ed Orgee is a good player with quite a lot of potential."

Orgee missed Worcester's promotion into the Premiership two seasons ago due to a long-term knee injury but returned 18 months ago and was regularly in the first team squad.

But since the summer arrivals of James Cockle and Simon Devereux he has found opportunities limited to just one start this season, ironically against Moseley in December.

Meanwhile, centre Andrew Higgins has earned a second appearance for England Under 21s in the Six Nations Championship.

The 18-year-old was fast-tracked to play in last week's 20-11 victory over Ireland at Banbury and is now set to face France at Valenciennes on Friday.

Two of the ladies squad, scrum-half Joanne Yapp and winger Nicky Crawford, have also earned international honours after making the England squad to face France.

Yapp will start the game in Paris next Friday while Crawford will be in the bench.

Worcester prop Mark Linnett has helped West Midlands Police reach the semi-finals of the British Police Cup after featuring in a 15-5 victory over Devon and Cornwall at Torquay.
