WORCESTER Rugby Club have shuffled their pack to conjure up a mixture of youth and experience as they aim to break Rotherham's three-year unbeaten home run.

The Sixways men must win at Clifton Lane to have even the slimmest hope of catching the Premiership Two leaders (3pm).

They have kept faith with 20-year-old open side flanker Simon Daws and 25-year-old prop Andy Collins but former Gloucester flanker Nathan Carter has been chosen ahead of Brett Scriven and Lee Denham.

One of the biggest surprises sees vice-captain Chris Raymond miss out for just the second time this season with selectors preferring Steve Lloyd.

Raymond was replaced by Lloyd after an hour of the London Welsh victory and now earns just his fifth start of the season.

The backs, though, remained unaltered from a fortnight ago with centre Andy Currier not even in the 22-man squad despite overcoming a rib injury.

Worcester have kept the midfield partnership of Rob Myler and Andy Higgins, while Shaun Woof is on the bench.

Rotherham will be without top try scorer Dean Lax who ruptured his knee against Rugby Lions three weeks ago. Lax had scored 18 tries and was on course to break the league record of 24 set by John Bentley at Newcastle but he is now out for the season. He will be replaced by Martin Dawson.

Rotherham also welcome back winger Alan Buzza who has been in Hong Kong on business and missed the last game with West Hartlepool.
