GEOFF Cooke's fresh approach to the Worcester team sees 21-year-old scrum-half Chris Simpson-Daniel make his debut for the first team.

The former Gloucester half-back starts at Rugby Lions tomorrow in Cooke's second team since taking temporary charge of the firsts.

Cooke saw his new-look side comfortably beat Henley last week and he has given the side a vote of confidence by just making two changes.

The first is forced, with Chris Raymond starting at lock after Steve Lloyd's surprise retirement in mid-week, and the other see Simpson-Daniel starting ahead of Bruce Fenley and Sililo Martens.

"Chris deserves a start and it would have been earlier had he not been sidelined with concussion for three weeks," said Cooke.

Realistic

"We're already looking towards next season and we have to give everybody a fair run. You've got to be realistic and we can't take on people if we haven't seen them play in the first team."

Worcester are now playing for minor placings but Rugby Lions are staring at relegation being three points from safety with just three games left.
