NEW signing Earl Va'a believes Worcester Rugby Club have a good chance of clinching promotion from Allied Dunbar Premiership Two next season.

The Samoan international fly-half made his comments after jetting in from New Zealand to join his new team-mates at Sixways.

He said: "Worcester have a great set-up and all they need now is to join the First Division. That's my main priority -- just to try to help clinch the club promotion.

"But, from what I can gather, the Second Division will be much harder this year.

"Teams like Leeds, Bedford and Coventry, just to name a few, will all be up there vying for the top positions. But Worcester definitely have a good chance."

Va'a said he thought the new addition would help bring success to Sixways.

"The signings that have been made are in key positions and hopefully where they were lacking last season we can use our experience and knowledge to help the team."

Twenty-eight-year-old Va'a, who has been capped by his country eight times and played in last year's World Cup, is one of 13 new signings Worcester have made so far during the summer.

Two more were recruited yesterday, Australian centre Alistair Murdoch and prop Virgil Hartland.
