Worcester Rugby Club kick-off their pre-season friendlies tonight when they meet Pontypridd at Sixways (7pm).
Worcester will be giving most of their 18 summer signings a chance to impress in the first of five friendlies, and are likely to field two completely different sides in each half of the match against the top Welsh club.
Two of their summer arrivals -- hooker Andrew Lamerton and scrum-half Mathew Taylor -- both joined Worcester from Pontypridd during the summer.
But new Sixways coach Adrian Skeggs said: "I don't want players going out there to have personal battles but to go out there and take their opportunities.
"At this stage I am not going to be too concerned at what type of game we play. We will try and keep it fairly simple."
Entry to the match is free of charge.
