WORCESTER Rugby Club are facing a problem at full-back less than two weeks before the start of the new season.

The club have lost three full-backs, John Liley, Tim Smith and Richards Le Bas during the summer and injuries have created further problems.

Rob Myler missed the trip to Cornwall with a groin strain while new signing Rohan Hoffman will miss the start of the season with a shin injury.

Worcester started yesterday's friendly at Cornwall with Gloucester trialist Simon Morgan at number 15 before centre Duncan Hughes made the switch in the second-half.

But Director of Rugby Les Cusworth said he is not panicking about the situation just yet.

"We used the game down here to assess our options but it's still a position we'll have to clarify," he said.

"We played Duncan at inside centre and then at full-back so we're sizing up our squad.

"We're certainly showing a lot more cohesion and the ball in contact is getting better, the team are looking more like the finished article.

"The boys have really worked hard during the weekend in Cornwall and we're beginning to see the results."
