CHILDREN from a Worcester primary school saddled up for lessons of a different kind.
Youngsters from Cranham Primary took the reins of Trigger a mechanical cantering horse, as part of a drive to encourage more to take up the sport.
They were helped by a riding instructor from Hindlip Equestrian Centre and were also given the chance to take part in rosette making and equestrian road safety.
Trigger came to Warndon through the Jeep National Riding Festival initiative.
The festival aims to introduce 200,000 new and lapsed riders to the sport.
The 100 children who took part from Cranham Primary were given discount vouchers to help them get started at their local riding centre.
