THIS afternoon, I became aware of a badly-damaged car in dangerous condition apparently abandoned on land belonging to Worcester City Council in Old Northwick Lane.
Reasoning that the authority would wish to be made aware of this without delay I called at the nearest council establishment which was Perdiswell Leisure Centre.
Here I was told that the information could not be accepted there but was handed a piece of paper with a telephone number to contact.
I rang that number but the telephone was not answered so I abandoned the attempt and decided it would probably be better to write to the Evening News.
It seems to me that if Worcester City wishes the general public to co-operate in keeping it informed it will need to ensure its services are better organised than this.
JOHN HINTON, Worcester.
