AFTER pointing out to the police the dangerous situation for pedestrians at the bottom of Mill Street, Kidderminster, over several years, what must I do to improve this matter?

Mothers with pushchairs and toddlers are forced off the pavement onto the dangerous road.

So how am I to move over from the cracked pavements and down damaged kerb stones on my battery-driven disability wheelchair without fear of it tipping over?

Taking a less busy period, 6.30pm on Monday, June 25, due to cars parked all over the pavement, I had no way to overcome the problem. To get off and try to push my chair was not an option.

My thanks go to two young ladies, who had to ensure the safety of a child first, then came to my assistance, for which I am most grateful.

If people want to improve their image, they could always leave their "status" cars in a nearby car park, try walking a short distance, and get a bit of free exercise.

The right of way, or what is left of it once all the construction vehicles have done their worst, could be used by us lesser mortals, but I am not holding my breath.
