The following abridged description specially drawn for this journal by Messrs Hughes and Young, patent agents, 55 and 56, Chancery Lane, London, W.C. : Patent application 12,465, Mr Jesse Guise, jeweller, Redditch, an improved device for affixing the handles of brooms and brushes to the heads thereof.
l Redditch Petty Sessions - Daniel Field, Silver Street, Redditch, was charged with using indecent language in Red Lion Street on June 28.
Pc Broom proved the case and defendant, who asked for leniency, was fined 6d and 8s 6d costs.
