Referring to your article by Guy Whitmore (Evening News, Tuesday, June 26) about traffic calming in Bilford Road, many of us cannot understand why the views of the residents of Dickinson Court were not taken into account.

All the residents are disabled one way or another, and have great difficulty in crossing this road.

A large amount of traffic using this road is going to the household waste site and we have video film to prove it.

This site is situated entirely in the wrong place, near a school and on a very dangerous bend. Even fit people think twice about crossing at this point.
