IN reply to my old friend George Cowley (You Say, June 25) thanks for informing me that the Garden of Eden contained a serpent.
Some of my "Old Labour" friends think there are a couple of serpents residing at Nos 10 and 11 Downing Street, with a few grass snakes living in their million pound pads in fashionable areas of London.
That's what I call materialism, but then perhaps I am biased. We should not forget the large pay rises this Government dished out to themselves and remember that sheep always follow the leader.
