KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have made Sam Shilton their second new summer signing.
The 22-year old, son of former England goalkeeping legend Peter, has agreed a two-year deal with the club following his release by Hartlepool United.
Shilton began his career as a trainee at Plymouth before moving on to Coventry City where he made a handful of appearances. He spent the past two seasons at Hartlepool before agreeing a move to Aggborough.
He said: "After speaking to Jan I knew this was the place where I would feel comfortable and I think Kidderminster's style of play will suit me.
"I enjoyed my time at Hartlepool but I never really played in a position I felt comfortable with.
"I was used more as a left wing back whereas I feel my strengths are more suited to attacking football. Jan's 4-4-2 style of play will hopefully allow me to get forward more...that's if I'm picked of course!"
