I AM writing on the hottest day of the year, wondering why Droitwich Lido is closed.
While I realise it would have taken a lot of money to open it, I wonder why the council did not apply for Lottery funding?
I'm sure all the people of Droitwich, people like myself, who visited the Lido on a regular basis and looked forward to meeting friends and having a good day out, miss it badly.
Wake up you councillors and the people of Droitwich and make sure the Lido is up and running next year.
Maybe we should follow Kidderminster's example and start voting for people who support this wonderful facility.
