ON page 85 of the Advertiser of May 30 under the heading 'Girls football ready for kick-off in Droitwich' - you imply that there has never been a Ladies' Football Team in this town.
I wonder if you are aware there was, St Andrew's Ladies Football Club. It was formed from St Andrews Youth Club, I am not sure of the date.
It was in the West Mercia League, played in the WFA cup several times, travelling to all parts of the UK, and exchange matches in the USA. Also if you look in 'Memory Lane' in the Advertiser of June 6 there is mention of two of its members playing with the England team in Italy.
I am sure if you contacted Mr Michael Crump of Hanbury Road, he would be able to give you more details, as he was the manager.
