IT will be a family affair in Cleobury Mortimer when a six-year-old takes up the baton to conduct a brass band for a good cause.
Cornet player Jack Martin will join mother Linda, 34, who plays the euphonium with the Bell Inn Brass Band, at a special fete on Saturday at the town's Manor House Nursing Home. Cornet player Jack Martin will be trying his hand at conducting.
His grandfather and uncle also play in the band, which aims to raise £2,000 for the residents' comforts fund.
The fete will also feature singers, stalls and a barbecue.
