REGARDING your headline in the Cotswold Journal (June 21) Joy as Korean war hero added to roll of honour.
I write as an ex Korean war veteran of the 27 British Commonwealth Brigade, and chairman of Moreton branch of British Legion in the late 1950s.
Some of us should hold our heads in shame, that it has taken 47 years to get this put right.
There are two heroes here without doubt: able Seaman Knight killed in action on active service and the other, PC Ken Fowler, who recently wrote his book that recorded all lives of all men from the town who are named on the war memorial.
