ON June 6, 28 members enjoyed a cream tea held in the lounge of Kings Court Hotel.
The AGM took place on June 13 where the election of officers took place and the following were elected: Doris Short, president; Noreen Ratledge, vice-president; Marion Buchanan, secretary; Brenda Williams, treasurer; Gill Huddlestone, social secretary; Betty Bullock, press officer; Joan Howarth and Irene Humphries, committee members.
A card signed by members, with book tokens was then presented to outgoing president Enid Phillips. A quiz, arranged by Enid, followed.
The next lunch is on Wednesday, July 11, followed by an audio visual show on British Columbia, presented by Freda and Dennis Colbourne.
