THERE was disappointment for Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove in the preliminary round of bowling's Travelsphere Top Club Championship.
Spa won the fours but were finally beaten 3-1 at home by Broadway.
The results were: singles: Barbara Middlemass 17-21; pairs: Pam Bennett, Ruby Freer 13-19; triples: Fran Sparkes, Margaret Hogan, Doreen Disspain 6-42; fours: Joy Baker, Kath Hendry, Jean Barnes, Dorothy Cracknell 20-15
Bromsgrove had to concede the game to opponents Bredon because they were unable to raise a team.
