I READ with great interest Mike Pryce's article (Evening News, June 14) featuring swing bands.
If this has stirred anyone else's memories it will also be of interest to them that the Norbury Theatre, Droitwich, is presenting a night of Big Band Swing by The Worcestershire Jazz Orchestra on Friday, June 29 at 8.00pm.
They are an 18-piece band and will be playing numbers by Duke Ellington, Ted Heath, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Woody Herman and the like.
