A REDDITCH man has scooped the prestigious NEW College Student of the Year Award after excelling in his field of hairdressing in NVQ level three.
Wayne Bartlett, 23, of Winyates, won the award last Tuesday after a gala presentation evening held at the college.
Mr Bartlett, who is finishing his National Vocational Qualification level three in hairdressing, is now working at Harvey Smith hairdressers, in Headless Cross.
NEW College hairdressing tutor Sue Hunter said: "A colleague and myself chose the winners and we chose them on a combination of different aspects, including achievement, effort and overall ability throughout the year."
