GOLF: Val Bow was again the winner of the Silver Division medal at Wyre Forest Golf Club Ladies Section.
Millie Whitmore played a fine round to beat Margaret Ellor in the Bronze Division.
Cynthia Guest and Ros Hayward took the threes competition and Wendy Reed won the follow-on.
Silver Division: Bow 71 nett.
Bronze Division: Whitmore 73, Ellor 76, Jo Crow 77.
The annual Kemp Hospice Stableford was contested by 21 ladies, the proceeds from the competition, £52.50, going to charity.
Jean Whale won with a score of 47, which resulted in the drop in handicap.
She will represent the club in the final in September.
Result: Whale 47 points, Dawn Gregg 40, Whitmore 38 on countback, Paula Wood tied, Sue Wood 38, Crow 37.
