KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Jan Molby has bagged his first summer signing with the acquisition of Welsh under-21 midfielder Danny Williams on a free transfer from Wrexham.

Williams, 20, who has agreed a two-year contract, began his career as a trainee at Liverpool before moving onto Wrexham where he began to forge a reputation for himself while making a number of Under-21 appearances for Wales.

He had a loan spell at Doncaster last season, sandwiched in between several games for the Welsh side, but was released by them at the end of the season.

"I'm delighted Danny has agreed to join us," said Molby. "He is a player I know from my days at Liverpool and is an excellent player.

"He is a big, strong lad who will give us a physical presence in the midfield area, and is also an excellent passer of the ball."

Molby is also in talks with various other players.
