MATHON, Cradley & Storridge Tennis Club Mixed teams were in fine form recently securing three match victories.

The MCS Mixed A team won comfortably on Saturday against local rivals Manor Park. Carol Dandy & Chris Brandon-White won their rubbers 6-1, 6-0 and 6-4, 6-2. They were well supported by Janet Brown & Phil Toghill, 6-3, 6-1 and 6-4, 6-1.

The MCS Mixed B team had two matches within three days and the first match away to Bewdley Tennis Club turned out to be one of the most one sided MCS matches for many a year. The MCS team welcomed back Amanda Godsland from injury and partnering Richard Smith won 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-0. The MCS pair of Ursula Mason & Chris Brandon-White also won easily 6-0, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-1.

This result was followed up by another MCS Mixed B victory at home to Kempsey. Jane Facer & Chris Brandon-White overpowered their opponents winning 6-0, 6-1 and 6--0, 6-4. Tiggy Boak & Paul Grubb secured the win 6-4, 6-3 and 6-3, 6-2.

MANOR Park Men's D are still trying to acclimatise to playing two divisions higher than last year suffering their third successive defeat when they entertained Bewdley E on Sunday losing by four rubbers to two.

Ian Elias & Colin Weedon were as dependable as ever winning both their matches 7-5, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-1. Steve Bamford & Steve James lost 1-6, 3-6 and 6-2, 6-7, 1-6. Michael Lane & Brendan Lawler lost 0-6, 1-6 and 1-6, 3-6.
