THE new format of match ups in the Malvern Pool Grand Prix has certainly caught people's imagination.
Twenty-four players compete with only four seeded in each of the 10 Grand Prix held every Sunday at the Cross Keys Inn, Belmont Road, Malvern.
Starting at 7pm prompt, all players compete for Grand Prix points with the winners collecting 25 points, 20 to the runners up, 15 points to the semi-final losers down to 4 points for the losers in the preliminary round.
BAPTO rules apply for the Grand Prix and entries are now available from the Cross Keys at £5. This event is sponsored by JW Automatics of Hereford with a superb purse at the end of all ten Grand Prix to the final top eight competitors.
The official start date is Sunday, July 1, all entries to be completed and returned by midday Saturday, June 30, at the very latest.
Food will be laid on free to all players and each Grand Prix will have a special theme. To enter call Reg on (01684) 572945.
