THE windsurfing Solven brothers from Storridge have their sights set on World championships after recently being awarded £500 each from Herefordshire's Ready, Steady Win towards their 2001 race campaigns.

The brothers have completed a number of events already this season and at Marazion, Cornwall in the first slalom event of the year, Guy was sixth overall in the Gold Medal fleet, an event entered by several World class competitors, and younger brother Harry 8th overall in the First Junior Silver Fleet.

Further racing at Llandudno, Weymouth and Hove has regularly seen Guy in the top ten in the Gold Fleet and in the Junior Silver Fleet, Harry has been performing brilliantly and is lying in first place in Britain at the moment.

He has also just missed out by two points in qualifying for the adult European Championships in Poland.

Harry's next target is to qualify for the World Junior Championships to be held in Italy later this summer whilst Guy is aiming for the Mens World Championships in Brazil.

Both boys are in need of local sponsors for these World Class events with any help, however small, most welcome.
