A WOMAN from Upton-upon-Severn who ran a farm park with her late husband has filed for bankruptcy.
Anne Potts, of Riverside Close, has debts of around £28,000 and the Official Receiver has been appointed to safeguard her assets.
Mrs Potts and her husband Peter ran the Green Meadow Farm Park at Hook Bank, Welland, for three years. The business closed down in 1998 and Mr Potts has since died.
The couple had a series of battles with Malvern Hills District Council, which initially refused planning permission for the park farm and on-site accommodation.
The council approved the scheme when Mr and Mrs Potts dropped the residential part of the plans.
However, the couple continued to experience problems when planning regulations prevented them from living on the site to look after the animals and premises.
The farm, which had attracted 15,000 visitors a year and was home to 500 animals, closed in June, 1998.
