POWICK FC held their end of season presentation evening at Willie Thornes Snooker Club last Friday.

The chairman Graham Bird welcomed all players and guests and said that the club had had one of its best seasons for a long time. In the Worcester League, the club finished second in Division One on Saturday and fourth in Division Two on Sunday.

The following players were presented awards by vice president Charlie Ellis.

Saturday team: Player's player - Mike Hawksworth; Manager's player - Phil Skilton;

Top goal scorer - Jon Hodgetts; Most improved - Luke Dunn.

Sunday team: Player's player - Paul Ruhback; Manager's player - Bryan Craven; Top goal scorer - Gary Henderson; Most improved - James Baker.

The chairman then made a special award for Clubman of the Year to the Saturday side manager Alan Craven.

Training for the new season starts at 6pm on Tuesday, July 17 at their Hospital Lane pitch in Powick. The club look forward to seeing players both old and new.
