TO celebrate Women's Football Awareness Week, the Worcestershire Football Association, in partnership with Pershore High School and Wychavon DC, are hosting their first Female Football Festival.

The one-day festival will be held at Pershore High School on Saturday June 23 and will open at 10.30am with the first competitive games commencing at 11am. The day is aimed at all girls and women, aged between 8 and 80 in Worcestershire who already play or wish to have a go at football.

In addition to the tournament there will be coaching stations to improve existing, and try out new, skills. Stalls selling everything needed to play, from shin pads to first aid kits will be there, along with refreshment kiosks.

So ask your friends, get together with your work colleagues or school friends and enter a team. It will be a great day so come and be part of it whether in a team or as an individual.
