A NIGHT of comedy awaits patrons at Don Pedro's in Malvern next week.

The Worcester Road venue, formerly known as Ginger's, is host to four acts from across the UK on Thursday (June 21).

Local comedian Adam Montgomery comperes the evening. Adam is resident compere at The Comedy Zone in Malvern, Worcester and Stratford-upon-Avon, and was a semi-finalist in last year's BBC New Comedy Awards.

He is also planning a one-man show at The Theatre of Small Convenience in Malvern.

Barbara Nice is the alter ego of writer/director/ actress Janice Connolly, and has become a well-known compere and stand-up act. She has also been on the small screen, appearing in The Loafers for the BBC, and more recently in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights.

Although a newcomer to the national comedy club circuit, Noel Britten is a seasoned performer. He has performed around the world at many international festivals in Australia, USA and Europe. He has appeared on Channel 4's Gas, BBC2's Stuff the White Rabbit and in 1996 was Hackney Empire New Act of the Year and Ha Bloody Ha New Act of the Year. He recently supported Jeff Green on a nationwide tour.

Scottish comedian Dougie Dunlop began life as a chef, before appearing in Edinburgh in 1997.

Now based in London, he qualified for the grand final of the Daily Telegraph Open Mic Awards and the semi-final of the BBC New Comedy Awards.
