MALVERN College are currently in a rich vein of form and an emphatic 132 run victory against the King's School, Gloucester on Saturday was their third win on the trot.
MALVERN COLLEGE v KING'S GLOUCESTER
Winning the toss and taking advantage of an outfield like glass, the Malvern batsmen rattled up an imposing score of 244-8 declared. Captain Joe Lewis (47) and Craig Wood (46) led the way.
The backbone of the King's batting was broken by the new ball partnership of George Vaughan (5-32) and Ed Latter (3-11). Stubborn resistance for an hour by numbers four and ten was finally ended by Wood who bowled a creative over or two of gentle off spin and the well deserved victory by Malvern was quickly wrapped up.
