MALVERN Ramblers continued their recent WCL Division Two improvement with a creditable draw against second-placed Feckenham.
FECKENHAM v MALVERN RAMBLERS
Feckenham batted first and made a decent start until Stephen Carter took the first of two good catches. Kevin Bayliss (101no) came to the wicket and after a steady start began to bat with more authority, but some good fielding and bowling by Malvern restricted the home side to 219.
The highlight of the innings was a brilliant catch by Gordon Hawker.
Malvern made a sound start with 28 for the first wicket until David Arnold was bowled by Mark Davidson. Sam Peachey looked in imperious form and stroked an elegant 29, Rob Francis continued his recent good form with 30 and Paul Young batted sensibly for an unbeaten 40 and together with Carter ensured a draw for Malvern Ramblers.
Ramblers would like to thank Crusader Sports for their sponsorship of the club.
