JAZZ will be heard in the garden of Upton Baptist Church next weekend if the weather is fine.
The church traditionally holds its flower festival during Upton Jazz Festival (June 22-24), offering visitors the chance of a peaceful interlude.
This year young members of the congregation have tidied up the church garden as the venue for a Sunday evening service with jazz music.
The flower displays in the church will be based on the theme of Journeys, from famous Biblical journeys to those of today's missionaries. They will be on show on Friday and Saturday from 10am to 6pm, Sunday from noon to 5pm and Monday from 10am to 1pm.
Refreshments will be available in the church room, including sandwiches, ploughman's lunches and homemade cakes and biscuits.
