THE Children's Society was the good cause chosen by Mr and Mrs Richard Todd of Pound House, Redmarley when they opened their very attractive garden on Saturday, June 9.
The weather kept dry but was rather cool but the ladies kept busy on the plant and cake stalls and serving teas. The raffle was well patronised with good prizes for the lucky winners.
The proceeds amounted to an excellent £305.
Redmarley Senior Citizens organisation has benefited from a donat ion of £200 from Linda and Gloria, daughters of the late Mr Douglas Preece, which had been raised by Whist Drives which Doug had organised. Over the year Doug has raised many hundreds of pounds which had benefited local organisations.
