INSTEAD of entertaining about 50 guests at Hartpury, Corse & Staunton Mothers Union June meeting this year, members themselves were entertained by member Gilly Wells at her home in the neighbouring parish of Upleadon.
Following prayers led by the Branch Leader, Ursula Groves-Smith, business included the arrangements for attending the M U Diocesan Festival at Gloucester Cathedral on June 20 when the branch banner will be carried by Mary McGhee.
A variety of quizzes, which tested the memory, were enjoyed, devised by Gilly and a most lovely tea was served.
Gilly was thanked for a most enjoyable afternoon and given a pot plant as a token of thanks.
