A SALES executive from the Evening News has won a prestigious award for her outstanding advertising prowess.
Lynne Masters was thrilled to be named Telesales Executive of the Year Runner-Up during Newsquest Media Group's Awards for Advertising Excellence 2001.
The accolade is part of the company's overall award scheme, which recognises the personnel behind its 300 newspapers nationwide.
Boss Julia Lancett said Mrs Masters constantly exceeded standards of performance within her field.
"Lynne really shows true enthusiasm and commitment," she said.
"We receive letters all the time from customers, commenting on her professionalism.
"It's a fantastic and well deserved achievement for her."
Mrs Lancett, who nominated the part-time working mum, said the award reflected the whole of the advertising department and each individual's willingness to go the extra mile.
"I feel sure we'll have a number of candidates who will forward to next year's awards," she said.
Forty-four-year-old Mrs Masters, who lives in St Peter's, has been with the Evening News for nearly three years and specialises in recruitment advertising.
