PETE Boorman took a hat-trick as his final over in Sunday's Wadworth 6X National Village Championship yielded four wickets as Dumbleton dismissed for Slaughters United for 221.
Chappell top scored with a half century as the Cotswold side made a brave fist of the semi-final and they were still in with a great chance of an upset after Boorman (41) had been removed leaving the hosts to score 97 off the last 13 overs.
Andy Powell, though, came to the rescue with an unbeaten 83 and Paul Lyes chipped in with 36 in Dumbleton's seven-wicket win.
Exhall and Wixford also booked a group final date when they overhauled the 165-8 posted by Bohemians and Wishaw.
Both sides are on their travels in pursuit of a last 32 slot with Dumbleton at Haresfield and Exhall visiting Offchurch.
