THE inaugural Worcestershire Open Pool competition was held at Suzy Q Snooker and Pool Club in Shrub Hill, Worcester, and was well attended by players from all over the county.
The eventual winner was international pool tour star Dave Arnold from Kidderminster.
His route to the final was not an easy one as he faced fellow tour member Andy Jones and county players Darrell Bareham and Wayne Lannie, with the matches against Bareham and finalist Toby Brooks being two of the best pool matches ever seen at the club.
The competition saw a sprinkling of youth and ladies joining the men and providing some entertaining pool and shock results along the way.
