I WAS dismayed to read in The Journal (May 31) that Broadway Parish Council refused to approve a grant to the Mother and Baby group in the village.
Surely it is in everybody who has a heart and soul to nurture and care for the welfare of the young of today.
Didn't Our Lord say 'Suffer the little children'.
Broadway Parish Council can't be more interested in the amount of storage space taken up under the stage in the Lifford Hall than helping the babies and toddlers of the village.
Or maybe there is another reason why they wish to deprive innocent children.
Come on parish Council we know Broadway is a lovely village but, a village is only as good as the people in it not the bricks and mortar.
