WITH reference to your article in June 7 Journal regarding 'Bravery Award' page 13, may I add my support in the decision to award Major Patrick Webb with a certificate of merit.
I believe this is most deserved award for a man who has contributed so much to the people and village of Weston Sub-Edge.
In being a past 'mini-gardener' for Major Webb and also a past villager, I have witnessed this leading light in the community and believe him to be an unsung hero. Such recognition by the Gloucestershire County Council for People like Major Webb is a valuable step to acknowledging their worth in the community.
