MUSIC lovers are to be treated to two charity concerts in the Vale.
The Avon Singers will be performing the Gloria by Vivaldi and excerpts from Dido and Aeneas by Purcell at St Barbara's Church in Ashton-under-Hill on Saturday.
This ambitious performance is a sell-out, but for disappointed fans it is to be repeated at All Saints Church, Evesham, on June 21, at 7.30pm.
Tickets will be available on the door or by telephoning choir member Jim Powell on 01386 442440. Cash from the concerts will be donated to the two churches.
In a completely different vein, the Avon singers are organising a musical extravaganza at the Arts Centre, Evesham, on October 27 when they perform an evening to suit all tastes and to raise funds for the Arts Centre Appeal Fund.
