THERE will be an almost non-stop day of music when the annual Pershore Midsummer Brass Festival takes place next month.
The event features 20 bands performing around 30 concerts. The Midsummer Brass Festival be held on July 7.
A first for this year will be a marching brass band, which opens the festival at 10am.
The two main venues for the festival will be at Pershore Abbey and a marquee in the gardens of the Angel Inn.
Ensembles and junior bands will strike up at Chapman Court and Number 8, Pershore's Theatre Arts Association building.
The event, which has been running for 11 years now, normally attracts 1,500 people from all over England.
Among bands participating will be Rolls Royce (Coventry) and the Flowers Band.
Admittance to all venues will be by "walkabout" ticket. Ticket prices have been held at £6 and £4 for concessions.
Pershore Midsummer Brass is also sponsoring a children's art competition, with an exhibition taking place in Pershore Library this month.
