M BURCHER (You Say, June 5) says he/she also, like John Richards, watched the buses go by, which suggests he lives on the bus route.
What person in their right mind would actually drive away from the city to catch a bus into that city?
Having read the letter, however, I have decided that I too must drive across the city, from Malvern, so that I may sample the delights of this wonderful transport system.
What John Richards forgot to tell us was one of two things. Either the buses go so fast down Barbourne Road, that M Burcher, with the time saved, can go and watch a movie, or they go so fast that he didn't see that there was on-board entertainment.
Methinks M Burcher may, however slightly, have a vested interest in the park-and-ride issue. Will he now park-and-ride on every occasion, and use this subsidised service?
R L DAVIDSON,
Malvern.
